UNDER PERFECT CONDITIONS. YOUR SET-UP AND SURFACE. 3:16 (yammie tony)

114-116 on the gun are realistic numbers.

120mph??? You would need a really well tuned stock machine and a hell of a long distance and maybe you would make it to 120mph but I doubt it!! The world record in a 1000' track with a speed track and ICE picks and they have many years of tuning experience!! And a set-up with the least rolling resistance possible and they are at 114.893 MPH.

The fastest stock SRX I have seen in our area on a Radar Gun was:
-1998 SRX 700 [out of the crate stock!] - hard pack - unlimited run[approx 2000']...112mph
-my 2002 SRX was never that fast...but I got it used and have since turned it into a long travel 144"

YOU WONDER HOW CRAZY MPH REALLY IS. I SEEN A STOCK 2000 SRX LAST SUMMER ON TAR IN THE 1/4 MILE RUN 117. 3:16 (yammie tony)

the asphalt track would probably pick up a good amount on even a ice track (studs are drag). I can pick up 5 to 6mph in 1000 just changing from a 1 inch track to a ice track on my big cat, some of it is the weight but alot if it in the windage of the lugs.

I would say 115-117, would be the average for a good set-up srx. But...there all different, and often some are considerably faster than others.

you need to use an actual radar or a GPS to get an accurate measure of speed. Mine on the dreemometer(speedo) will bury the speedo in a long run. In reality with a shaved ice track that is 2000' + it might hit 115 but I am a big guy almost 300Lbs in a 1000' radar run with a completely stock machine other than 144 trail studs I am really consistent in the 100-101mph mark the lighter guys and women will consistantly hit 105-107 in 1000'. It just depends on if you have an absolutely smooth unlimited distance surface to hit 120mph but it will take a very light rider and a perfectly set-up stock machine and a long smooth distance to hit the 120mph mark

We ran a 2000 SRX in the NBSSR radar run events last season..
Trail stock class.
3/4 inch trail track with 96 trail studs.
Chassis trued and lowered
Gearing and clutching for the day.
We had best run of 119.6 MPH in 2000 ft run
Average speeds where in around 117-118
We also ran the same sled on Simmon lake in the spring and ran 125.6 MPH distance was around 3000 ft.
Well set up these sleds can run 120 easily..
JMO but results are there!!

Cheeks ran up near 118 after some set up last year aswell.. and thats with a 1 inch track and 144 studs!!!

I ran a personal best of 127.1 mph with a trail track on a stock motor, in 3000+ ft. A well setup SRX will run 120 fairly easily on ice, in that distance.

Is a Yamaha Viper a 4 stroke?

At first glance, the Viper looks pretty familiar. It still uses the stellar 1049cc 4-stroke triple, spinning a belt-friendly YXRC clutch combo and it all rides on a tall front spindle IFS and a floating front-arm rear skid. There's a sweet set of Fox QS3 shocks in in the mix as well.
