What kind of transmission does a 2011 BMW 335i have?The 2011 BMW 335i is also supposed to be the first American model to be equipped with the ultra-quick Double Clutch Transmission (DCT). If those upgrades don't get you excited, then maybe the 5.0-second 0-60 time or improved engine management with an overboost feature will.
What transmission is in my 335i?in short, E92 335i 6 speed automatic is ZF 6HP21 with max. input torque of 450 Nm (~332 lbs/ft). I think there might be a disconnect on what BMW calls it and what ZF calls it. ZF calls the transmission in the 3 series coupe the 6HP28 ( 800 Nm or 515 lbs/ft).
