How many quarts in a 4l60e transmission

I've had trans line pop off, tailhousings break, etc. After rebuilding a 4L60E, filled a 10" TC using no more than 3 qts, and no more than 7 qts in a dry trans (stock deep pan... not the shallow one). That's your total of 10 that RedHot04 mentioned. Of course, this is your minimum. Check your levels and add more if needed, but that should get you close if you have a 10" TC (assuming the trans is dry).
