To display percentage values as labels on a pie chart

Add a pie chart to your report. For more information, see Add a Chart to a Report (Report Builder and SSRS).
On the design surface, right-click on the pie and select Show Data Labels. The data labels should appear within each slice on the pie chart.
On the design surface, right-click on the labels and select Series Label Properties. The Series Label Properties dialog box appears.
Type #PERCENT for the Label data option.
(Optional) To specify how many decimal places the label shows, type "#PERCENT{Pn}" where n is the number of decimal places to display. For example, to display no decimal places, type "#PERCENT{P0}".

To display percentage values in the legend of a pie chart

On the design surface, right-click on the pie chart and select Series Properties. The Series Properties dialog box displays.
In Legend, type #PERCENT for the Custom legend text property.

3 Convenient Ways to Display Percentage in Pie Chart in Excel

To illustrate how to show percentages in a pie chart, we need to create one first. Here, we have the percentage of population by major ethnic groups in Southern California.

To create a pie chart-

Select the dataset.
Then go to the Insert tab from the Excel Ribbon.
In the Chart tab, click on the Insert Pie button.

To show the percentage in our pie chart for each of the ethnic groups that made up the total population, let’s do the following-

Steps:

First, click on the pie chart to active the edit mode.
Then click the Chart Design tab from the Excel Ribbon.
Choose the 3rd option from the Chart Styles options.

The above steps now make the pie chart showing the percentages for each of the constituent parts.

2. Display Percentage in Pie Chart by Using Format Data Labels

Another way of showing percentages in a pie chart is to use the Format Data Labels option. We can open the Format Data Labels window in the following two ways.

2.1 Using Chart Elements

To active the Format Data Labels window, follow the simple steps below.

Steps:

Click on the pie chart to make it active.
Now, click the Chart Elements button ( the Plus + sign at the top right corner of the pie chart).
Click the Data Labels checkbox which is unchecked by

After that, click the Right Arrow sign at the right of the Data Labels
From the dropdown click on the More Options

From the Format Data Labels window, click the Percentage checkbox.

Steps:

Right-click on the pie chart to open the context menu.
Choose the Add Data Labels

This time choose the Format Data Labels

3. Use of Quick Layout to Show Percentage in Pie Chart
