I love this! I have long, fine hair and hate how my pony tails looks. This gives my pony tail a natural but attractive look. I was skeptical ordering because the review are so so and some say it doesn’t look natural or it’s difficult to use. It’s really easy and self explanatory.

There’s only one ponytail holder and they are saying two pieces because of the elastic that goes around it, it’s very misleading in my opinion because it sounds like you’re getting two ponytail holders when you’re only getting one. These are sort of hard to find, but I have one & love it. Just split your hair across the middle (or higher if you want your ponytail high or lower if you want it low) horizontal pull the hair where you want the ponytail to be and then take this and twist a little bit against your scalp underneath the “ half ponytail hair, to hold it in place and then reach down and pull the remaining hairUP together with the top hair and brush all the hair together while holding onto the ponytail and then put the elastic on and it looks like a really full ponytail.

I’ve had this product for years, and I absolutely love it. I’ve tried other products like it and they aren’t comfortable to wear, or are to heavy. But this one is super comfortable and easy to use! I get so many compliments on my hair with this thing! Perfect for buns and ponytails!

I was pleasantly surprised with this product. I have a lot of hair, but it's pretty thin so my ponytail always falls flat. This has absolutely makes a difference to the volume in my ponytail.

It took me a few tries to figure it out, but the best way to do this is to pull half of your hair (as if you were going to wear your hair in a half up ponytail), twist the product in, and then pull up the rest of your hair into a ponytai. Wrap the elastic around everything then.

I've worked out with this in my hair and it doesnt shift at all.

The only negative comment I have is that the elastic broke after just the second time.i used it, but it is just a standard, thick, elastic so I have plenty others lying around that I use.

I would have given this 5 stars but it took a bit to learn how to use. It is so fun once you learn. It is a product that was invented out of need. And the company is located near where I once lived. Everyone have a HAPPY HEALTHY 2021.

I'm surprised that this product doesn't have 5 stars overall, this works great for me. I have fine hair, but a lot of it. When my hair is down it has lots of volume because it's light and fluffy, but in a band, it shows it's thin side. So using this really makes it look thick and lush. I even use it to make buns and my messy knot look much thicker. And it's easy to use, but not the way the directions suggest. I pull up half my hair, then put the poof under that half, and then pull the other half up to cover the bottom of the poof. it takes a bit of practice to get the band around a couple times, but you'll get the hang of it (I use my pinky to hold the poof in place and pull my hair through). I lost one and had to buy another because I instantly missed it.

volumizing tool! I tried several ponytail volumizing tools and this one is the ONLY one that actually works well. It has a small learning curve but once you get it down it is very easy to install. It has a contour shape so you don’t even know that it is in your hair. I have lost so much hair over the years and when I make a regular ponytail it looks like a little spurt of hair out of the back of my head. It is so embarrassing! The Poofy Pony has saved my life really because I couldn’t pull my hair back before I found this great product. I also bought one for a friend who went through chemo therapy and it has made her feel like a woman again. Please always have this great product available for women who have lost their hair due to cancer, childbirth and again.

I took a gamble on this because if was the cheapest option out of other similar ponytail volume tools. I wasn't sure if it would be comfortable or stay in place, but it has. I have medium thickness hair but wanted to dress up my ponytails a little bit. This has worked great.
I have only tried this with low ponytails. It's a little tricky getting it in place. I didn't like the way the instructions explained. I just part my hair horizontally from ear to ear, set the tool in place on the part, then bring up the bottom half of the hair and smooth it out around the tool. You can use any hair elastic with it. The elastic gets stretched out a lot just after one use. I still wonder if I'd like the conair brand better, but I'm pleased enough with this one that I probably won't order any other brands in the future.

How do you make a thin ponytail look fuller?

Double Up. Or you can double up on actual ponytails. Separate your hair into two sections, tie off the top portion, and then tie off the bottom half. The first pony will fall on top of the second pony, camouflaging it and leaving you with the illusion of one fuller, longer ponytail.

Why is my hair so thin in a ponytail?

When you repeatedly pull on your hair, it can cause traction alopecia. This can happen with men and women. Pulling on your hair can cause hair thinning and hair loss because people are pulling their hair too tight to get a certain look. Really tight ponytails can cause harm and cause stress on your hair follicles.”
