What Do You Do If Your iPhone 11 Won't Turn On At All?

An iPhone's performance suffers when it doesn't have enough power. So, the first culprit, in this case, is your charger. More so, your iPhone data lightning cable.

Solution: Evaluate the Condition of Your iPhone Charger and lightning Cable

Step 1

You need to look for any visible signs of physical or liquid damage on your charger "head," lightning cable, and charging port.

Step 2

Replace your charger if the USB cable is excessively worn out. It’s also a good idea to replace it if you’ve used it for more than 2 years.

Step 3

Let your iPhone charge for at least 25 minutes. It could wake up from its slumber without any help if the charger or lightning cable were the issue.

If that doesn't help, you can follow the next procedures.

Suspected Problem: A Firmware Crash

So far we’ve ruled out the charger or lighting cable as the problem. My tech sense tingled. Now, I suspect it’s a software issue.

“Could it be a case of a firmware crash?” I asked my associate. “It’s a common issue, it’s easy to fix!”

Here is how to fix it and get your iPhone 11 powered up:

Solution: A Force Restart

A firmware crash occurs when there’s a conflict in some of your iPhone apps and services. Your phone powers off to clear the memory in the hope of clearing the error.

It usually fails to power up when the conflict remains unresolved. A force restart could be done by removing your battery, which resets your memory.

Here’s how to go about it:

Step 1

Tap, hold and release the Volume Up Button. Repeat the same procedure with the Volume Down Button.

Step 2

Press and release the Power Button after you release the Volume Down Button. Hold on to it for 15 seconds or until the screen lights up with the Apple Logo.

The problem will be fixed if you can get your iPhone 11 to display the Apple logo.

Step 3

If you don't get the screen to display the logo at first, try a few more times. If that doesn't work, then move on to the next step.

Why Won't My iPhone 11 Turn On After It Died?

Suspected Problem: Drained Battery + a Firmware Crush

So far, we’ve ruled out a firmware issue. However, it’s still too early to say that your iPhone 11 won’t turn on due to physical or liquid damage.

The problem could be a drained battery. This could have caused a system crash just before your iPhone turned off.

These steps will help you solve or at least rule out such a problem:

Solution: Plug-In Your Charger then Force Restart the Phone

Step 1

Connect your phone to a working outlet using an Original iPhone lightning Cable.

Step 2

Leave your phone plugged in regardless of whether it displays the “Charging” symbol. Let it charge for at least 10 minutes before moving to the next step.

Step 3

Keep it plugged in as you press and release the Volume Up Button. Then press and release the Volume Down Button.

Step 4

Press and release the Power Button after you release the Volume Down Button. Hold it down for 15 seconds or until the screen lights up with the Apple Logo- the recovery mode screen.

These steps usually restore the iPhone 11.

If you’re not out of the woods, before assuming it’s a serious hardware problem read on, as the next software solution might help you solve it.
