What engine does a Murray lawn mower use? They come in a variety of shapes and sizes from little 38cm push mowers up to the large capacity self-propelled units. And at the heart of each Murray walk-behind mower is a Briggs & Stratton engine that's so reliable you might even look forward to mowing.
What happened to Murray riding mowers? It seems that Murray was a victim of its own popularity. The line grew too fast. Overproduction led to shoddy manufacturing work in the 2003 and 2004 models, which led to a disastrous recall and, eventually, bankruptcy. For some reason, the company began using cheap plastic parts in critical components of its mowers.
Who makes Murray riding mowers?Manufacturer: Briggs & Stratton Power Products Group LLC, of Wauwatosa, Wis. Hazard: The two-piece fuel tanks on the riding mowers can separate at the seam, causing fuel to leak. This can pose fire and burn hazards to consumers.
