Richloam General Store in Ridge Manor is an authentic old restored general store with a shady porch for relaxing. There is a good Florida cracker restaurant nearby.

Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota is Florida's official art museum. The huge museum contains 21 galleries of European paintings as well as many pieces of Asian, American, and contemporary art.
