This was our 2nd trip to this resort and once again, it did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left the level of service was fantastic. We were celebrating my husband's 65th Birthday and upon arrival were upgraded to an Ocean View Room. Eduardo brought our bags to the room and was so friendly and informative. The resort is clean and so beautiful with 3 pools separated by wooden walkways. There was never a problem finding a seat somewhere around the pool. Breakfast buffet was great every morning at Market Cafe and Citlali and Ruben made sure everything was perfect for us. Even the Manager Daniel would come by and check to see if we needed anything. Days by the pool were terrific with Asucena giving us top notch service and always with a smile. After just one day, Emilio at the swim up bar knew what we wanted and would make our drinks. Lunch we mostly went to Oceana and Gabriel and Rafael kept the drinks coming while serving us our delicious ceviche, shrimp and other great dishes. For dinner we went to Oceana, Himitsu, Portofino, Bordeaux and El Patio. We love seafood so our favorite was Oceana and we went there twice during the week. We were greeted at Oceana by Sheydi who is one of the best hostesses at the resort. We asked for Daniela to be our waitress since we had her the last time we visited this resort. During our dinner the Manager, Elpidio, came to see if all was well and if we were celebrating anything. We told him about my husband's birthday and for dessert Elpidio and Daniela brought out a glass tray with Happy Birthday written in chocolate, cake, mousse, fruit and sang to him. We told them we would be back for dinner on Wednesday with a friend from Mexico who we brought to the resort on a day pass. When we went back on Wednesday with our friend Daniela and Elpidio had our table for 3 set up and decorated. Daniela and the chef had put together our entire meal and it was amazing from appetizers, main meal and dessert. We were blown away by this dinner and service. Portofino, Bordeaux, Himitsu and El Patio all had great food. We loved all of the cream soups they serve. The osso buco at Portofino and rack of lamb at Bordeaux were great! We cannot thank each and every one of the people I mentioned for their great service and making this another great visit to Secrets Playa Mujeres. It definitely won't be our last. Read less

We got married at Dreams the week before staying at Secrets. Me and my husband had the best experience at both resorts. Amazing service from the beginning. From the spa to the restaurants. We will definitely be back!

It's absolutely ridiculous that this resort allows dogs (and I'm not talking about service dogs). I'm referring to dogs as in someone can't leave their barking and yapping mutt at home for a week!! Dogs belong at home not at a resort costing thousands of dollars.

The service at this resort is amazing. Every staff member we encountered was so very helpful and kind. Staff went out of their way to accommodate us. The resort was very clean and well kept. The food was fantastic as well. We would definitely visit again!
