How and when do I adjust the suction? The settings on the suction control slider on the handle adjusts suction power. Note: Ensure the power/surface switch is set to the correct floor type before adjusting suction power.
How do I assemble my vacuum?
For proper operation, ensure all parts are firmly clicked into place. How do I clean above floors with or without accessories? Press the handle release button on the back of the handle. Gently pull up on the handle to remove it from the wand. For more cleaning reach, leave the handle on the wand, and detach the wand from the floor nozzle. Press the Wand Release button on the top of the pod, then gently pull up on the handle to remove the wand. Attach an accessory to the handle or the wand and begin cleaning. How do I use the different cleaning modes? This Shark® vacuum has three powerful settings for cleaning located right below the power button. To clean bare floors, tile, and low pile area rugs:
Note: Use Hard Floor setting for max suction when cleaning above floors and for easier maneuverability on low pile area rugs To clean low pile carpets:
To clean thick carpets:
Note: Move the suction control slider on the handle to MIN to reduce suction when vacuuming carpets. Slide to MAX for more suction on bare floors. When and how do I clean the filters? Filters may need to be cleaned if the vacuum stops picking up dirt, if airflow is restricted, or if you notice lighter or no suction. For optimal performance, clean filters regularly. Between cleanings, lightly tap filters over a trash receptacle to remove dust and debris as needed. Rinse the pre-motor foam and felt filters every 3 months, or as needed.
Rinse the post-motor HEPA filter every 12 months, or as needed.
When and how do I empty the dust cup? For optimal performance, empty the dust cup each time you vacuum, or when debris reaches the MAX FILL line.
Parts & AccessoriesYou may also likeShark® Rotator® Lift-Away® ADV DuoClean PowerFins UprightIs the shark rotator worth it?The Shark Rotator Powered Lift-Away is great for low-pile carpet. It easily cleans all hair and large debris like sand and still sucks up a very good amount of small debris like baking soda. It has a decent build quality and it's not hard to maintain but there are a lot of parts that you need to clean regularly.
What is the difference between a Shark Navigator and rotator? The Navigator can hold 2.2 quarts of dry debris, while the Rotator can only hold 1.3 quarts of dry debris. The Rotator comes with a few more advanced accessories, while the Navigator's accessories are more basic. BELLS AND WHISTLES | The Shark Navigator is a bit more of a “base model” than the Rotator, in my opinion.
What does DuoClean mean for Shark vacuum?DuoClean is an integrated system with two brushrolls – a soft brushroll and then bristle brush for deep cleaning – all in one single head. DuoClean technology offers you unmatched cleaning on both hard floors as well as carpeting and gives you amazing cleaning power, no matter what size objects you are picking up.
