Retailers have been pushing the definition of what qualifies as a "Black Friday sale" for years, but Amazon's second Prime event in mid-October got everyone in Holiday Deals Mode™️ earlier than ever before. Black Friday felt more like a vibe than an event in 2022, and the same goes for Cyber Monday. Best Buy is a perfect example of this phenomenon in action. While the electronic store's main Black Friday event kicked off on Sunday, Nov. 20, it's technically been offering Black Friday deals since Oct. 24. (And even before then, a 48-hour flash sale offered a sneak peek from Oct. 11 through 12.) That also marked the beginning of its extended holiday return policy: Almost any items(opens in a new tab) purchased at Best Buy through Dec. 31 can be returned through Jan. 14, 2023. It's a strange twist from the retailer that used to draw throngs of campers outside its stores in eager anticipation of one-day doorbusters. True to form, the store's Cyber Monday sale also started early on Sunday. That all said, the types of deals you'll encounter at Best Buy this Cyber Monday aren't anything we haven't seen in years prior. It's still one of the best places to grab a fancy QLED 4K TV, computer monitor, Apple device, or smart home gadget on sale, tacking on freebies like streaming trials and security software subscriptions on top of unrivaled discounts. But don't get too comfy. Many Cyber Monday deals at Best Buy are available in limited quantities with no rainchecks; if an item sells out at any point, it may be gone for good at that price. When does the Best Buy Cyber Monday sale start?In 2022, Cyber Monday officially hits on November 28, immediately leading on from the weeks of sales preceding it. We also predict that a number of deals will last through until at least Tuesday, tailing off towards the end of the week. Is it worth waiting for the Best Buy Cyber Monday sale?This is a tricky one because, as we said above, Best Buy focused a lot of its energy into early November sales, which saw weekend-level prices stretch out for weeks before. In turn, this had the effect of weakening Cyber Monday's appeal, and while a huge amount of money was spent on Monday, we didn't notice many incredible deals we hadn't seen before. If we're honest, we'd probably advise you to grab what you want when you see it, rather than waiting around for mega deals that might not end up materializing. However, if you're too busy to get online and have a proper browse over the weekend, Cyber Monday still offers a great opportunity to bag a bargain, since almost all deals roll over from the weekend.
