Purchasing and paying for apps and services online is convenient, thanks to Google Payments solutions. You can pay for any in-app purchase or service subscription right away in just a few steps. However, some users encounter the error OR-CAC-08 when setting up their Google Payments. In some cases, they cannot credit the payment to their mobile phone provider bill. Others experience the error when they have a new mobile phone.

The Google Pay error OR-CAC-08 gives the message, “You don’t have permission to complete this action. [OR-CAC-08]”. When users try to add another payment method this error comes up: “Your Google account isn’t authorized to use Google Payments. Please contact your organization’s Google Apps administrator.”

Fix and Solve the Google Payments Isn’t Allowed Error OR-CAC-08

There may not be a definite solution to the error OR-CAC-08 on Google Payments. But, several troubleshooting methods can help you resolve the issue. Try to apply each solution one at a time and check if it works in solving the error.

Method #1 – Re-add Your Mobile Billing as Payment Method

First, remove your phone billing account as one of your payment methods. Then, try to add it again.

  1. On your browser, go to //pay.google.com/#paymentMethods.
  2. Sign in to your account.
  3. Look for your mobile billing account.
  4. Click Remove beside it.
  5. Select Remove again to confirm.
  6. Now, look for the Add payment method.
  7. Select the Add to bill payment.

Method #2 – Clear the Cache in Google Pay

Emptying the cache will delete temporary files that may contribute to the error. You can also clear the cache before you add a payment method.

  1. On your mobile device, navigate to the Settings menu.
  2. Select Apps & notifications.
  3. Look for Google Pay.
  4. Tap the Storage option.
  5. Look for clear cache or storage. Tap the button.

Method #3 – Wait for Your Mobile Billing to Become Available

Most mobile billing becomes unavailable for up to 14 days after being updated. It is due to Google’s eligibility checks that happen every 14 days. If your mobile billing is not yet enabled, try rechecking it after 14 days.

Method #4 – Try a Different Payment Method

If none of the solutions above work, you can try purchasing using a different payment method. Add a new payment account if you only have your mobile billing on your Google Payment.
