Overall Opinion:

Overall, I’m just let down by FitMiss Delight Protein Shake and give it 2 out of 5 stars.

It has a lot of potential but came up very short in my opinion.

It’s unfortunate because I like other Musclepharm product lines but just not this product in particular.

I like the idea of this protein powder because it’s specifically designed as a complete protein shake for women.

It’s meant to help curb hunger, promote lean muscle growth, and offer up some extra vitamins, minerals, and nutrients.

It has a proprietary blend of greens and fruit such as flax seed, apple extract, barley grass, cherry extract, and cranberry extract.

It has 16 grams of protein per serving, which is less than average, but is also probably adjusting for women’s daily protein needs.

So I like the overall premise of this product but it just falls short in my eyes and has a lot of things I don’t like.

First off, it’s not easy to use.

It’s chunky and requires a blender, which I frankly don’t have time to pull out every day.

It tastes weird and has a gross aftertaste of veggies and fruit (not the best combo with a chocolate flavor).

It also made me feel sick to my stomach after drinking it.

SolaThin is touted heavily with this product, which is a potato protein that promotes feelings of gastric fullness.

The fullness feeling is supposed to help you eat less overall and aid in weight loss.

It made me feel bloated and gross, and I didn’t want to eat afterwards.

So technically it worked, but just not in the most desirable way.

It also goes overboard with all of the protein sources.

It uses a blend of 6 different proteins, which I’m not a fan of at all.

When companies use blends, they usually use the cheapest ingredients and just a tiny bit of the quality ingredients listed.

So you never really know what you’re getting.

Also, I couldn’t find any sort of guarantee for this product either.

Total bummer!

Overall, I wanted to like this protein powder more but it really fell flat in my opinion.

Detailed Opinion:

Ease of Use

FitMiss Delight is a pain to use.

Don’t even think about trying to mix it with a spoon and glass if you’re in a hurry.

This ended in me almost gagging because it was so chunky and tasted gross.

The directions say to add 1 scoop of protein to 8-12oz of cold water or beverage (milk, almond milk, rice milk, juice, etc.) and ice in a blender.

Then blend until creamy for a “frosty smoothie”.

To be honest, I don’t have time to pull out my blender everyday so this is what made it a pain.

You can use a shaker cup and it blends up decently that way, which is what I did the majority of the time.

However, to get it totally mixed and smooth, you should opt for the blender method.

Taste

I tried this protein powder in the “Chocolate Delight” flavor.

There’s no delight at all, in my opinion.

It just tasted off and kind of gross.

It has a chocolate flavor but then an aftertaste of vegetables and fruit.

I don’t know about you but I like my chocolate tasting like chocolate…

The taste was a little more masked and bearable when I mixed it with chocolate almond milk instead of unsweetened almond milk or water.

Macro Analysis

The macro breakdown for this protein powder is 16 grams of protein, 1.5 grams of fat, and 4 grams of carbs per serving (1 scoop).

It’s also very low in calories, coming in at only 90 calories per serving.

Since it’s low in calories, carbs, and fat, it may help those looking to lose weight.

The protein content may also help build lean muscle in particular.

Ingredient Drilldown

FitMiss Delight Protein Shake has a lot going on in the ingredients.

First off, it uses a blend of a ton of different proteins including: Whey Protein Concentrate, SolaThin Potato Protein, Egg Albumin, Micellar Casein, Whey Protein Isolate, and Whey Protein Hydrolysate.

Some of these are very high quality proteins, such as Whey Protein Isolate and Micellar Casein, however I don’t like when “blends” are used because you have no idea how much of the quality protein there really is.

A lot of times the cheaper proteins make up the bulk of the total grams of protein.

It also has a proprietary greens and fruit blend including 16 different ingredients including: flax seed, apple extract, artichoke leaf extract, barley grass, blackberry fruit, blood orange, broccoli, cherry extract, citrus flavonoids, cranberry extract, lemon bioflavonoids, mango seed extract, pomegranate rind extract, red currants, spinach, strawberry, and watermelon.

There is a digestive enzyme blend added that includes protease and lactase.

Including enzymes, especially lactase, may help you digest the lactose in the whey protein.

Whey Protein Concentrate (which looks to be the prime protein source here) has more lactose and milk fat.

This may be a problem for those who are lactose-intolerant, so the addition of lactase may help.

Superior proteins like whey protein isolate contain much more pure protein (about 90%) than concentrate and have very little fat and lactose.

This shake also includes vitamins and minerals such as vitamin B3 (330mcg), vitamin B12 (50mcg), calcium (128mg), iron (1mg), magnesium (19mg), and potassium (170mg).

It’s gluten free, low carb, and low calorie, which are all great.

It does contain milk, soy, and egg and is produced in a facility that may also process ingredients containing milk, egg, soybeans, shellfish, fish, tree nuts, wheat, and peanuts.

Side Effects

I saw some bad side effects when taking FitMiss Delight.

I got really bloated and had a stomachache after drinking it.

I may be sensitive to some of the ingredients used, so I’m hoping my side effects are due to allergies.

However, the whole idea of this shake is that it creates a feeling of gastric fullness due to the SolaThin (potato protein).

So part of me wonders if it’s the SolaThin that makes me so bloated and get the stomachache.

It definitely made me not want to eat anymore, so I guess it works as an appetite suppressant, just not in the most desirable way.

It also contains milk, soy, and egg.

So be cautious if you’re allergic or sensitive to any of those.

Sucralose, an artificial sugar, is used and may have some slight effects on certain people such as minor bloating.

Best Uses

This protein powder is specifically designed for women who are looking to lose weight and potentially gain some lean muscle.

It has 16 grams of protein per serving, including a vegetable-based protein SolaThin (potato protein) that is touted as a “weight loss sensation”.

The potato protein is meant to produce a feeling of gastric fullness, so you don’t end up eating as much because you feel full more quickly.

The combination of ingredients, along with being low calorie, may help give you sustained energy, suppress appetite, and help build lean muscle with appropriate exercise.

Price/Value

A 2-pound container of FitMiss Delight Protein Shake costs $37.99.

Based on servings and total grams of protein, this works out to 6.59 cents per gram of protein.

This is about average for a protein powder.

I like the idea of it (a specialized protein for women and weight loss) but I don’t think it ends up being a good value.

I wouldn’t buy this protein powder again and would opt for another protein powder to help with weight loss.

Guarantee

I’m really disappointed because I couldn’t find any sort of guarantee for FitMiss Delight.

You may be able to return the product if you contact their customer service department within 90 days of purchase.

However, the product must be bought directly from their website (not a third party retailer) and it can’t have more than 75% of the product used.

They will return your purchase and pay return shipping if your order meets those requirements.

I would really like to see a money back guarantee or at least a less strict return policy.

This is definitely a bummer.
