If you are someone with no experience in medical coding or is in need of a refresher course, Empire Healthcare Consulting’s Medical Coding Academy will meet your needs.

Acquire the fundamentals of medical coding through our self-paced, web-based format. Empire Healthcare Consulting’s curriculum may be taken in any order according to the student’s interest or needs, however, we do recommend that you follow the prescribed format in the course outline. Since all courses are self-paced, you can proceed as quickly or slowly as you like.

The enrollment period for each course is 365 days from the date the course starts. You may choose to take multiple courses at once, but due to the nature of the program, we recommend not taking more than three courses at once. The courses in this program can be taken as a refresher or for individuals wanting a career in medical coding.

This program will prepare each individual to take the credentialing examinations offered by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC). A Certificate of Program Completion will be awarded to the student upon successful completion of all courses specified in the program outline.
