• Remove the 5 screws from the brush plate with the phillips screwdriver.

• Lift off the brush plate by grabbing both ends of the plate and lifting the plate up.

• Grab the rotating brush at both ends.

• Lift the rotating brush straight out of the vacuum.

• Remove the belt from the motor pulley.

• Clear the bottom of the vacuum from any debris that may be blocking air flow.

• Clean the rotating brush from any wrapped string or hair. You can use scissors if needed.

• Check the new belt for any damage.

• Place the belt on the rotating brush and then the motor pulley.

• Pull the rotating brush with the belt hooked.

• Place the ends of the rotating brush into the slots.

• Rotate the brush a few times to center the belt.

How to replace Belt on Powerforce Helix

1.Turn power OFF. Unplug vacuum cord from electrical outlet.
2.With rotating brush removed, grasp old drive belt and remove frommotor pulley. Discard old drive belt.
3.Place new drive belt over motor pulley and stretch other end over rotating floor brushin the space between the bristles. Place ends of rotating floor brush down intoslots.
4.Turn rotating floor brush by hand in thedirection of the motor pulley. If properly installed, drive belt will center itself on rotating brush.
5.Reposition brush cover and fasten four screws back into place
