Directions

Approaching Downtown on the Northbound 101 Freeway:

Travel north on the 101 Freeway. Exit on Alameda Street and turn left. Go past the first stop light, which is Commercial Street. The Roybal Federal Building is located on your right hand side, next to the Metropolitan Detention Center, behind the Federal Building & Post Office. There are entrances on Temple Street or off of Alameda Street.

Approaching Downtown on the Southbound 101 Freeway:

Travel south on the 101 Freeway. Exit on Alameda Street and turn right. Go to the first stop light, which will be Alameda Street, and turn left. The Roybal Federal Building is located on your right hand side, next to the Metropolitan Detention Center, behind the Federal Building & Post Office. There are entrances on Temple Street or off of Alameda Street.

Parking:
One hour metered parking is also available on Temple Street and San Pedro Street from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

In addition, there are also two parking lots and one parking structure along Commercial Street, south of Alameda Street, approximately two to three blocks from the Roybal Federal Building.

Prohibited Items

The following items are prohibited in the courthouse: Weapons/sharp objects (such as firearms, brass knuckles, knives and scissors) and non-lethal devices (such as tasers, batons, and pepper spray). You must leave these items in your car or at home.

These directions are for juror parking located 2 blocks east of the courthouse.

Traveling South
Take either the Orange Freeway (57) South to the Santa Ana Freeway (5) South or Santa Ana Freeway (5) South. Exit on Broadway Street. (When exiting on Broadway, you will be traveling South.) Stay on Broadway to 3rd Street. Turn left (east) on 3rd Street and the parking structure is to your immediate left. (It is on the corner of Broadway and 3rd Street.)

Traveling North
Take the Santa Ana Freeway (5) to the 1st/4th Street exit. Take the 1st Street off ramp to the signal (which is 1st Street). Turn right (west) on 1st Street. Travel west on 1st Street to Broadway. Turn right (north) on to Broadway. Travel on Broadway to 3rd Street. Turn left (west) on 3rd Street. The parking structure is to your immediate left. (It is on the corner of Broadway and Third Street.)

Walk
North on Broadway to 4th Street, then West (across Broadway) on 4th Street to the Courthouse.
