Jeep yj soft top windshield bracket

Ok first of all the pictures put by amazon are misleading thats a TJ&UP NON-DRILL wind channel. This item is a CJ&YJ DRILL wind channel, note CJ&YJ only have this kind. Ok know that thats out of the way its a good solid aluminum channel it has a good coat of black paint to keep it from rusting. It is a little thin but strong that you cant really bend making it very good for storing. Its a solid 4 would have given it a 5 but had some installation issues with my jeep read below for more details and see pics.Installation: First thing first my jeep is a 94 wrangler sahara edition with hard top stock, meaning it was hardtop when bought at dealer new. This means it never had the holes to put in a wind channel so i had to do them myself see pic. Note i will never get a soft top so i drilled using the wind channel as a measurement on were to drill so if your thinking of buying a soft top just know the holes you make might not align with the soft top. Ok now this item was also to long, 1/2in to long, for the bikini top i bought it for, Rampage 94015 Denim Black Topper with Pocket, here on amazon even though it says its the one you have to use. So i had to cut that off and please don't make the same mistake i did and do 1/2 on each side its 1/4 on each side because if you do then you will leave a gap like i did see pic. Then you need new screws because the one that come with it cant hold a grip, well at least in my jeep, once you do that its pretty simple just screw them in and boom enjoy your new wind channel with your bikini top.

Fits on the windshield of my 1984 Cj7 just fine. Easy to install and works with my bikini top.

No really complaints on this product. It fit on the windshield as advertised and I didn't have to drill any new holes. It fit right into the preexisting holes. The rails themselves are sturdy and hold the top on at freeway speeds. I've driven 400+ miles at one time with no issues. If these ones some how do break, I'll be buying the same ones again

This windshield channel is getting the job done, but it was difficult to install. I ended up purchasing bigger screws and using the holes my Jeep's PO had drilled for the previous windshield channel - it's working fine with the top I bought, and I think I'm glad I bought this particular accessory, but the channel looks different than one one pictured. Like I said, though - picture notwithstanding, it is the one I needed for my Rampage YJ Bowless/Frameless Soft Top.

I thought they were easy to install. I wish they were packaged together as a kit with the Rampage Jeep 90801 California Brief Black Soft Top. Didn't like having to purchase each separately. The top came in and had to wait another week for the windshield channels.

Fits great, holes line up with pre-existing. Holes are also slotted if you need some adjustment or to drill new holes that are offset.
