The walking dead episode 6 season 11

Continuing with the terrors of the walker apocalypse, Connie and Virgil find themselves in a house of absolute horror while her sister Kelly tries to search for her, and Daryl finds himself trying to protect his friends without betraying The Reapers trust. The Walking Dead Season 11, Episode 6, “On The Inside,” has a very fitting title so let’s begin the recap to find out why.

The Walking Dead Season 11, Episode 6 – Daryl’s Test

Daryl has been in several situations before when dealing with unstable enemies. This time, however, he has to keep the façade of being one of them.

This means that he is essentially forced into torturing Frost, one of Maggie’s people. Removing his angel-winged vest, he cuts off a finger which finally gets Frost to reveal a location.

Daryl, Leah, Carver and several other Reapers arrive to scout the house while Maggie, Negan, Gabriel and Elijah are hiding several houses away. Daryl knows where they are hiding and tries to aid them by holding up The Reapers as best as he can.

However, this leads to several spats between him and Reaper Carver, who may have a thing for Leah (Shaw). When they arrive at the house Maggie and the group are hiding in, Daryl tries to stand near the latch to the bunker under the floor.

Maggie and the group can hear the entire conversation above them, understanding that Daryl is in a deadly predicament. After searching and finding evidence that Maggie was once there, Leah is convinced they fled just before they arrived.

However, Carver finds the hidden bunker under the floor, which is thankfully empty. Turns out Maggie and the group fled the house probably minutes prior.

When Daryl and The Reapers return, Pope reveals that Frost provided him with some helpful information while they were gone. Daryl and Leah don’t respond and can’t help but notice Pope’s indecipherable tone and walker Frost tied to a tree.

Does this mean Frost revealed who Daryl actually is? Or does Pope want Daryl to think that?

After the Whisperer provided details as to where Connie was last seen Rosita, Carol and Magna want to begin their search only to find out Kelly had started without them. Kelly is able to find where Connie and Virgil (who they haven’t met yet) had been camping out before they were forced to flee.

Connie left behind several items like her signature sling shot and notepad which details multiple events like meeting Virgil but more importantly that they were being watched. But what does this mean?

Carol, Rosita and Magna catch up with Kelly, and together they follow the path Connie and Virgil had taken. As they come to a fork in the forest, the group let’s Kelly decide which way Connie may have went.

Luckily Kelly chooses the right path that leads them the the house Connie and Virgil are currently trapped in.

Now to the meat of the episode. Connie and Virgil are fleeing frantically through the forest at night from someone or something unseen.

Connie wants to keep running but Virgil convinces her they flee to the abandoned house for shelter. They barely make it inside as walkers surround the property.

After Virgil checks the house, he tries to persuade Connie to rest but to no avail. She decides to check the house one more time and finds that several painted portraits have their eyes destroyed.

When she sees a eye from within the wall she tries to show Virgil but he thinks she’s seeing things. They become separated and soon prey to hungry cannibals that act more animal than man.

The house appears to be like one giant maze of hidden rooms and eerie hallways as Connie and Virgil try to escape the crazed cannibals who are hellbent on eating them! After Connie finally finds a safe space to hide in she can see Virgil from a hole in the wall and tries to get his attention by slamming the wall repeatedly.

After he successfully kills a cannibal hiding in the room, he nearly kills Connie, stabbing through the wall believing the banging to be from more cannibals. Upon seeing it is Connie he frees her from the wall.

Virgil is ready to fight his way out of the house but wants Connie to go on without him. She refuses and the two run through the house towards an escape.

Cannibals come running and crawling left and right, one successfully attacking Virgil before the two wind up back at the front door. Connie grabs the body of a dead walker from earlier, covers herself in the guts, protects Virgil and opens the door.

Walkers emerge and begin eating the cannibals. A true taste of justice!

As they escape the house several cannibals chase them until Kelly kills them. Connie and Kelly are finally reunited and the nightmare is over!

Lots of anxiety and scares in The Walking Dead Season 11, Episode 6.

This is the kind of episode that uses pacing and scene transitions perfectly! Even though we are jumping from Daryl’s current situation to Connie and Virgil’s personal horror movie and occasionally Kelly’s search, it never felt jarring or confusing.

The scenes were cut at the right moments and drew out the right emotions they wanted from the audience. Watching Maggie and the group hide from The Reapers felt just as scary and tension-filled as Connie trying to navigate a house filled with cannibals.

Yes we’ve seen cannibals before on the show (Terminus) but not to this extent. Cannibals have become a common enemy in most post apocalyptic media from films to TV and video games.

It doesn’t matter how many times we’ve seen them, the concept of people resorting to eating humans and the methods by which they obtain those humans is downright gruesome and the stuff of literal nightmares.

After such a terrifying episode it seemed only fair that Maggie and the group managed to escape unscathed and that Connie and Kelly are finally reunited. I was waiting for something to happen to Kelly even up until the last second (horrible flashbacks of when Maggie finally reunited with Beth only to find her killed).

Unfortunately Daryl’s nightmare is far from over and he may need to start figuring out a backup plan before Pope finds out who he really is. Or has he already figured that out from the get-go?

Connie hides Virgil behind her as they become surrounded, and Connie covers herself in guts from a dead feral, before letting the walkers in to devour the feral people. Connie and Virgil escape the house, but are attacked by two ferals. Suddenly they are killed with Kelly's slingshot.

What were those creatures in the Walking Dead Season 11 episode 6?

The name of the creepy survivors on Sunday's episode are the Ferals. Ridloff revealed the name of the group to us first while discussing Sunday's episode. Episode director and executive producer, Greg Nicotero, first texted her about the group and Ridloff was also caught off guard.

Who is the guy with Connie TWD?

Connie was rescued by Virgil (Kevin Carroll), the same Virgil who drugged Michonne (Danai Guraria). Since Michonne gave him another chance, he decided he would pay it forward, and upon his return to Oceanside, he discovered an exhausted but alive Connie. His goal was to help her find her family.

Who is Shaw in The Walking Dead Season 11?

The Walking Dead's Michael James Shaw – other roles Shaw joined The Walking Dead as Michael Mercer in season 11, which is the final of the series. He is the leader of the military and has proven himself to be quite capable in this position. It will be interesting to see where Mercer's story goes as the series ends.
